Years 5–6

In Years 5 and 6, Energy Tech students spend the majority of their time on the college campus and are engaged primarily in college coursework. They still check in at the high school for support with a demanding course load, and they are expected to continue to pursue career activities—such as additional internships and even jobs. They work closely with school counselors, college faculty, and industry mentors to prepare for their post-secondary pursuits. In general, we expect that all students will apply for a range of exciting and rewarding careers in energy and engineering, or will continue on to more advanced studies in bachelors degree programs. Students are expected to complete an associate degree by the end of Year 6, and to successfully complete capstone projects.
