Tutoring

Math Tutoring is offered weekly. Students can come in with questions or comments from class, receive advanced work, or just do homework while having someone available to help if they get stuck. For more information, please contact department chair Ms. Chen at ychen@energytechhs.org.

English Tutoring is offered weekly, and students are often found in these classrooms after school typing up final drafts or conferencing with teachers. Please contact your teacher for more information.

After-School ESL is offered on an "as needed" basis. Students are provided with laptops or iPads, and time is given for working through online assignments. Students also spend time receiving homework help, reading literature in circles, practicing speaking and listening, and sharing in a wide range of cultural activities. Both current and former ESL students are welcome! For more information, please contact Ms. Butler at abutler@energytechhs.org.

Science/Engineering Tutoring and Lab Make-Up Sessions are offered on a weekly basis. For more information, please contact your science or engineering teacher.

History Tutoring is offered on a weekly basis. For more information, please contact your history teacher.

Saturday Academy is offered for approximately 12 sessions in the fall and 12 sessions in the spring to help students prepare for January and June Regents examinations. Select courses are offered in 1-hour intervals from 9 am–12 noon, and a light breakfast is provided. On some Saturdays, some afternoon trips and special events are provided. For more information, contact Ms. Antonelli at bantonelli@energytechhs.org.

All classrooms at Energy Tech are equipped with student computer and printing stations, and there are laptop, chromebook, and ipad carts in nearly every classroom. There are some rooms - such as the College Lounge - with devices available to borrow. Students may request to use technology before or after school, during study hall, or during lunch.
